CGPWA kick starts 'Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign'

Jammu, Sept 17: Central Government Pensioners' Welfare Association (CGPWA) J&K Jammu today kick started "Swachhta Hi Seva" (SHS) Campaign with active participation of 30 members. Carrying placards on "Swachhta Hi Seva" the retired senior officers took out a process at the Parade Ground creating awareness among the passersby. Seeing many former bureaucrats and Police officers with placards, many motorists stopped to enquire about the campaign and appreciated the initiative for a noble cause. There was positive response from all people. The former civil servants have decided to carry the placards on their cars to create mass awareness on cleanliness. Earlier, J. K. Vaid, General Secretary of the Association briefed the members about observance of SHS throughout the country from 15th September to 2nd October, 2018 with the mission to make all the localities clean and to maintain Swachhta which is a great service to the society. V. P. Sharma, Patron addressed the members on SHS mission and led the rally by the members in Parade area of Jammu with display of placards 'Swachhta Hi Seva' accompanied by slogans on the motto.
