In the name of hygiene: BDO 'forgets' to distribute gloves among students
9/18/2018 10:12:51 PM
Early Times report
Jammu, Sept 18 : In a bizarre incident, a Block Development Officer (BDO) was found playing with the health of the students by employing them in voluntary cleanness drive without prior precautionary measures.
A video making rounds on social media shows that a BDO during cleanness drive uses gloves herself but not distributing same among students, doing the same task.
As per reports Sania Haq Khan-BDO Satwari along with other officials on Monday reached at Government High School Bathindi for 'Shram Dhaan' for Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.
The students along with the BDO clean the area in and around the school building but at the same time the BDO failed to distribute the gloves among the students which she was wearing.
"The video of cleanliness drive launched by the BDO clearly depicts that she was wearing gloves but the students who were also cleaning the area were not provided with the gloves", said a local adding that this can increase the risk of infection among the students.
The officer has taken consideration her own hygiene but failed to think about the hygiene of the school students involved in the cleanliness drive, said another local of Bathindi area.
