9/18/2018 10:54:10 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 18: After following Hurriyat Conference and other separatist leaders to retrieve its lost constituency in Kashmir Valley, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership has not started glorifying terrorists and other elements involved in spreading terror across the country.
Recently PDP has glorified Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru and tried to project him as youth Icon for the youth of Kashmir Valley. In its official tweeter handle PDP had tweeted "Hanging of Afzal Guru gave a sense of defeat to your youth & after that the anger was simmering. We are fighting with the future of Kashmir & that is why I insisted on amnesty. I wounder what was anti-national about amnesty?.
Through this tweet, PDP leadership has not only glorified Afzal Guru, who was convicted by the Supreme Court of India, but also tried to give an impression that Afzal Guru was ideal for the Kashmir Youth, who are annoyed after he was sentenced to death.
Credible sources in the party said that party leadership has realized that there was strong anger against party in the Kashmir Valley due to failure of PDP ex-ministers to address grievances of the people. PDP ministers in the previous government, sources said, had crossed all limits of corruption and nepotism and it was the main reason of peoples' anger against the party. To hide mistakes of its ministers PDP leadership is now indulged into exploiting sentiments of the people by glorifying terrorists like Afzal Guru.
