Udhampur, Sept 19: The high school at Darsoo in District Udhampur has no potable water . The students have to risk lives to get water.
There are 130 students enrolled in the said school who go to the most Busy Dhar Road to collect the water from a water cooler.
A student while Talking to Early times said: "We don't have water coolers at our school, so we have to risk our lives to cross the road and collect water. We have complained to the school authorities but no action has been taken yet."
He said the school toilets also lack water.
The students avoid going there. The problem is there since the building was constructed," he said.
The lack of water in toilets is embracing for the girl students. The students have appealed to the higher authorities to take action. |
