Awake and Arise Jammu leaders

Awake, Arise and Stop
not till the goal is reached are the golden words of the Saint cum Philosopher of Modern India Swami Vivekananda and this adage fits appropriately to the behavioral pattern of leaders and people of Jammu so far as their social and political scenario is concerned. This adage has a universal significance as well. Jammu leaders in particular and the Jammuites in general are in great slumber and in a state of inertia so far as their aspirations and goals are concerned. The leaders of the different political parties particularly the regional are busy in appeasing their Kashmiri 'Aquas' leaders and thus their position is that of second fiddlers to the valley's political bosses. These leaders being subservient to their political masters of the Kashmir and leave no stone unturned to please their Kashmir Centric leaders and thus they disregard the needs and aspirations of the Jammu masses. The Jammu leaders of various political outfits do not miss an opportunity to follow the diktats of their valley based bosses. The valley's political leaders and political parties always take them as their slaves and disregard interests and aspirations of Jammuites. This is evident in almost all things and politics of Kashmir based political masters. The same is true about the current calls of non participation in ULB and panchayat polls to which Kashmir centric regional political parties of NC and PDP and even the national party of CPIM has issued boycott call. While issuing the boycott call, they hardly take Jammu leaders of their regional political outfits into consideration and in this they take Jammu leaders for granted. It seems in their heart of hearts the Jammu leaders like to participate in the gross root democratic process but then they hardly take the risk of displeasing their kashmiris leaders who works only to further their so called noble mission of fulfilling the aspiration of Kashmiris. The union MOS in PMO Dr. Jatindra Singh has rightly said the other day that Jammu leaders are taken for granted by the Kashmiri leaders of the regional political outfits. Same happened so far as the debate and unnecessary uproar and hue and cry over article 35-A of the constitution of India is concerned. The Kashmiri leaders of different regional parties and even the national parties and the Separatists are on the same page as far as their protests for the retention of the controversial article 35A is concerned. The Kashmir centric political parties have a certain inherent unity when it comes to satisfying the aspiration and ego of the Kashmiri people. Both Kashmiri political leaders and the people in general rose in unison in defending less known article 35A which became talk of the town because of the protests and demonstrations held by Kashmiri politicians and the civil society members and various trade unions and even the government employees. Even on safeguarding article 35A Jammu's leaders are playing as second fiddlers and are dancing to the tune of their Kashmiri 'Aquas' leaders. The irony and unfortunate thing is this that Jammu leaders are also working as far the diktats of Kashmiri bosses. It is very unfortunate that Jammu political leaders barring few exceptions here and there are busy in furthering the cause of Kashmiri leaders in particular and Kashmiri people in general. This is a very disturbing development. Jammu leaders do not feel ease in fulfilling the needs and aspirations of Jammuites but remain contented to work for safeguarding the ego and aspiration of the Kashmiri people and thus further the cause of the Kashmiri leaders. The Jammu leaders work as second fiddlers and are subservient to the cause of their Kashmiri political masters and while doing so they do not feel shy of disregarding the genuine interests' needs and egos of the Jammuites. The sorry state of affair is that Jammu leader and people as well work as his master's voice of the Kashmiri centric regional political satraps. Jammu leaders as well as Jammuites are in deep slumber and they need to wake up and arise for fulfilling their needs, interests and aspirations and protect Dogra pride, culture and honor. The recent political scenario and theatrics of Kashmiri parties should awaken the people of Jammu and its leaders and they should imbibe the kashmiri leaders style of working in union when any issue of their ego is concerned. Thus the Jammu leaders should learn lessons from their Kashmiri bosses and Jammu leaders should unite and work in union as per their conscience to fulfill the Jammuites ego, interests and aspirations to regain their lost glory otherwise the future generation will curse them for their selfish and anti-Jammu role. In fact the Jammu leaders of various hues and colors should awake, arise and unite to uphold the aspirations of the people of Jammu and desist from working as subservient to the Kashmiri leaders. The time has come the Jammu leaders and the Jammuites as well should come under one umbrella when the interest of the nation and Jammu are concerned. Then and then only, they will be serving the cause of Jammu. Thus the Jammu leaders in particular and Jammuites in general should awake and work in unison in the interest of the Jammu. In this lies the good of Jammu. The Jammu leaders should shun inertia, slumber and indifference towards the interests of Jammu and work to fulfill the aspiration and interest of Jammu. It is a clarion call for Jammuites and their leaders should learn lessons of unity from Kashmiri's politico-social leaders and civil society. Thus Jammuites should stand up united and fight for their rights, urges and aspiration and should protect their self respect and much valued of Dogra pride. In this lies the good of Jammu leaders and people as well. Let them unite to fulfill the aspirations and interests of Jammu and not play in the hands of their Kashmiri bosses.
