| Kidnapped girl recovered within 24 hours, kidnapper apprehended | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 22: Banihal police today claimed to have recovered a kidnapped girl within 24 hours of kidnapping and also arrested the kidnapper.
Police spokesman said that on 21.9.2018, a written application was received at Banihal police station from one (name withheld) to the effect that he is a resident of Dooligaam Banihal and his daughter (name withheld) has been kidnapped by one Sameer Ahmed of Haali Maidaan Pehlipura Banihal.
Spokesman further said that on receipt of the complaint, a case under FIR No 162/18 under section 366 of RPC was immediately registered and a special team was constituted to trace the kidnapped girl.
"During investigation, using technical assistance and human intelligence, the girl was recovered from Shaban Bas area and arrested the kidnapper. The girl has been handed over to the family after medical examination and other legal formalities", said spokesman.
The Police party headed by Inspector Aijaz Ahmed-SHO Banihal consisting of SPO Barket Hussain, SPO Nasir Hussain and Follower Shair Singh made the recovery within the shortest possible time.
The whole effort took place under the close supervision of Sajjad Sarwar SDPO Banihal, Sanjay Parihar Additional SP Ramban and overall supervision of Anita Sharma-SSP Ramban. |
