9/22/2018 10:12:01 PM
Early Times Report

Rajouri, Sept 22: Involved in the violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and reportedly on the complaint of Congress party , district election authorities have suspended the license of a Gas Agency.
On Friday Mahila Morcha of BJP had organised a programme in favour of BJP candidate for ward No.13 (Talwal) at Peer Kanju wherein the Mahila Morcha activists/leaders have distributed LPG connections among the beneficiaries under PM Ujjwala Yojna.
Immediately after the event went viral on social media network, Congress party expressed resentment over violation of MCC.
Sher Singh, ADC who is also nodal officer for implementation of MCC & Law & order for Municipal elections, took the matter seriously and District Magistrate ordered an enquiry.
The complaint was investigated by additional director FCS&CA and on his report, M.A Asad, District Magistrate, who is also District Election officer (DEO) has suspended the licence of the Gas agency for distribution of LPG connections which amounted to misuse of a government scheme.
"Taking serious note of MCC violation enquiry was conducted and the report confirmed the commission of offence tantamount to violation of MCC stipulated by the State Election Authority and DEO has ordered suspension of the licence of the Gas agency" said District Information Officer (DIO).
The District Election Authorities have also stopped installation of hand pump reportedly by the BJP in ward No8 (Kathanoo) under Sunderbani Municipality.
"ADC has been asked to submit the detailed report about instaltion of hand pump. Meanwhile, Lal s/o Isar Das , a postal department employee has also been suspended and attached with ADC office at Kalakot for accompanying former Minister and sitting MLA, AG Kohli curing MC election campaign.
"District administration has made it clear that utmost impartiality/neutrality shall be maintained in violation of MCC and action is imminent against any such violations in future also" said DIO.
