Robust mechanism in place for outcome-based grievance redressal: Vyas

Srinagar, Sept 24: Advisor to Governor B B Vyas today said that robust mechanism has been put in place by the Governor's Administration to ensure that the people get quality amenities, services and their grievances are redressed within shortest possible time.
The Advisor was interacting with delegations from different parts of the state who called on him for redressal of their grievances during his weekly grievance redressal camp under the aegis of JK Governor's Grievance cell here today.
Over 200 people comprising 42delegations apprised the Advisor with their issues and sought intervention of the government in ensuring redressal of them in a time-bound manner.
A delegation of J& K Chamber of Independent Power Producers apprised the Advisor about the issues including water usage charges, GST, Industrial status. The delegation demanded GST rates be reduced to 5% with the concurrence of GST council, industrial status should be granted to small hydel projects.
A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Joint Action Employees Committee (IIIrdFront) met Advisor and raised various issues including release of pending wages of all temporary workers, removal of pay anomaly, release of risk allowance in favor of all wings of Forest, Irrigation and Flood control and Floriculture department, regularization of temporary employees in PHE and Forest department besides holding of regular DPC meetings in every government department.
A delegation of J&K Cements Employees Association raised different issues concerning the welfare of employees and financial affairs of the organization.
A deputation of Landscape Architects degree holders raised issue of filling of posts in the floriculture and tourism departments meant for professionals and in tune with the relevant qualification
A delegation of veterinary doctors' association raised the issue of filling of posts batch wise and their absorption under the pattern of Rehber-e- Ziraat.
A delegation of migrant political workers sought adequate accommodation and other related facilities.
Non-migrant deputation of Zainapora Shopian demanded establishment of college in the area besides upgradation of rural infrastructure.
A deputation of Darhal Malkan Rajouri raised several issues of their area especially developmental ones and demanded for upgradation of existing facilities in RDD, PDD, R&B and PHE.
MulnarHarwan deputation demanded construction of road from Theed to Mulnar and also upgrading the exciting civic facilities in the area.
The Employees appointed under PM's package demanded for adequate accommodation facilities.
A delegation from Manigam Kupwara raised various issues related to their area especially related to upgradation of infrastructure in PDD, PHE, education and R&B sector.
A deputation of PHE casual labourers also demanded release of their pending wages and expediting the process of their regularization under SRO 520.
A deputation of employees of Hospitality and Protocol department demanded removal of pay anomaly and extension of technical grades to them.
SKIMS employee's union demanded expediting the process of their regularization. Several other deputations and individuals also raised various issues regarding to their service issues, development of their areas and also related to RDD, PDD and Housing. The Advisor raised the issues with the concerned departments and directed for the prompt disposal of their grievances.
