Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 14: In an attempt to accommodate blue eyed Superintendent Engineer presently posted in Jammu division, PWD, R&B kept two posts of the Chief Engineers vacant for two months, and another 3rd post is going to fall vacant by end this month.
Sources in Secretariat informed Early Times that the top post in Technical Wings in various departments are deliberately being kept vacant to pave way for blue eyed candidate, who superseded Public Service Commission's rules by using money power, to get qualified as SE, despite being in waiting list.
"Presently, two posts of Chief Engineers, including one in SKUAST Jammu and Chenab Valley Power Projects are vacant for two months", sources informed and added that PWD, R&B the feeding department has not forwarded the file to concerned Advisor.
Astonishingly, due to lackadaisical approach of the concerned department, another post of Chief Engineer is going to fall vacant soon. "Chief Engineer, PMGSY, is falling vacant, by end of this month, but paradoxically, the concerned department has not moved the file yet", they said.
"Known for manipulating laid down rules, the Superintendent Engineer, who grabbed the post by default, and who also spent to huge money for it, has become first choice of Secretariat, efforts are being made to pave way for blue eyed, so that prime post be given to him", they added.
The sources further requested the Governor and concerned Advisor to bring transparency in the process.
