Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 14: Some RMSA's partners seem to violate the contract for not paying the salary of over 100 Vocational Teachers since March, 2018 deployed in government run high and higher secondary schools.
Wishing anonymity, some Vocational Trainers told Early times that three companies had not paid VTs salaries for the last eight months. However, as per agreement the training partners must be in a position to pay salary to the teachers engaged for at least three months in case of non-receipt of funds form RMSA, due to delay in release of funds from RMSA.
"We are deployed in government senior secondary schools for imparting vocational training through various private companies but are not getting regular salary", a Vocational Trainer said, adding that a VT, who is supposed to be paid Rs 20,000 on a monthly basis but astoundingly these companies which is defaulted in making regular payments.
They further said that all these three companies had deputed over 100 vocational trainers in various government schools across state. Some companies have making payment as per agreement without any delay. After June, 2018, the RMSA authority had issued an order in which they discontinue the private partner due to which rest of others VT not received salary.
They further said that though the government has appointed particular company wise coordinators to ensure smooth operations of this scheme in each district, the aspect of non-payment of salaries remained to be addressed as trainers feared being terminated if they raised their voice.
When contacted RMSA state coordinator N A Wani accepted and said that he already directed these companies to early release the pending salaries of Vocational Trainers.
