GMC surgery deptt to organize 7th annual conference

Jammu, Oct 16: Postgraduate Department of Surgery, Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu under the aegis of JK Chapter of Association of Surgeons of India (JAKASI) is organizing its 7th Annual Conference from 19th to 21st October 2018 in the College Auditorium under the theme of "Surgico-Ethical Issue in 21st Century".
The conference is going to be attended by about 400 delegate shall be participating in three days long academic event from all three regions of J&K, AHMS, PGIMER Chandigarh, Punjab, ASI Head quarter & AMASI Headquarter. The prominent internationally acclaimed surgeons participating in the conference are Dr. Dilip Gode (President ASI), Padkmshree & Dr. B.C.Roy awardee Dr. P. Raghu Ram. Dr. Tamonas Chouduri (President AMASI), Dr. Rajinder Parsad (AIIMS), Dr. G.R.Verma, Dr. Rajesh Gupta (PGIMER), Dr. Muneer Khan, Dr. Nisar a Chowdri, Dr. Fazl Q Parry (Chairman-JAKASI) and scores of doyens of Surgery.
There shall be Live Operative workshop wherein Advanced Laparoscopic surgery shall be performed by Doyens of Surgery. The Live Surgeries shall be relayed from Main Surgical OT to Auditorium with direct interaction of delegates with the operating Faculty. It shall be befitting both the trainee as well as trained surgeons as these surgeries are not very frequently done in peripheral hospital. In addition to this there shall be 25 Guest Faculty papers, 04 Panel discussions on "What Ails Medical Profession", Ca Breast', 'Ca Gallbladder' and Management of Trauma'. Last day module is dedicated to PG Teaching that includes Mayasham Best Poster Award, Prof. K.L. Kapoor quiz. Best PG Paper Award, free papers by postgraduates and PG Teaching by Professors from PGIMER.
