Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 20: Denying the allegations levelled by Doctors Association Jammu regarding forcing a doctor to visit office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) to give VIP treatment, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Reasi Prasanna Ramaswamy termed the allegations as baseless.
Talking to Early Times, the DC said that Dr Ashwani was officially posted for counting duty and after some time he escaped from the duty following which another doctor was immediately called for counting duty by the district administration.
"Sensing action against him, the doctor started propaganda on social networking sites involving the Association", said DC Reasi, adding that after leaving the counting hall, the doctor visited the District Hospital Reasi where he allegedly thrashed a man who came there for check-up of his child.
He further said that the victim approached him and lodged complaint against the doctor for allegedly thrashing him.
However, the Doctor Association Jammu alleged that Dr Ashwani who was on duty in Reasi Hospital was forced to visit DC Reasi office to give VIP treatment to DC Reasi. The Association further alleged that after giving treatment to him he forced the doctor remain in the office till 4 pm.
