Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 22: Ignoring senior engineers and keeping posts of two chief engineers (CEs) deliberately vacant, Secretary R&B reportedly pursuing case of his blue eyed boys rigorously to elevate them CEs, and has sent their cases to Public Service Commission (PSC) for their confirmation as Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs).
Sources from Graduate Engineer Association informed Early Times senior engineers who confirmed AEE, and holding post of Superintending Engineer have been kept on hold deliberately by Secretary PWD, R&B to pave way for blue eyed.
"Presently, Superintending Engineer, R&B Jammu N. D. Khawaza and Superintending Engineer R&B Rajouri Majid Khan are unconfirmed AEEs, however, using their connections duo have managed to get themselves promoted as incharge SEs", they said.
Presently two posts of Chief Engineers are vacant, while third one is going to fall vacant by end this month. "One of the unconfirmed AEE, holding of post of SE, is eyeing to post of Chief Engineer, PMGSY, and if things go well, his dreams will come true in coming days", they said.
Secretary's concerned for his blue eyed could be gauged from the fact that the promotion case of duo last week sent to PSC for their confirmation as AEE. "There are other engineers who are waiting for same since long and are one verge of retirement age, but unfortunately their case has never been considered by the top bosses", they said.
Sources further said that earlier, the case of these blue eyed was sent to the then Minister for PWD, R&B, Naeem Akhter, along with a recommendation from Court to consider their cases, but the Minister didn't find their cases for to be considered.
They further alleged that duo have accumulated huge wealth, using their money power they have paved their way for choicest postings and promotions. "We urged upon the Chief Secretary, B. V. R. Subrahmanyam to personally look into the anarchy prevailing in PWD, R&B, and also get investigated disproportionate assets raised by these two engineers", they added.
