| JKCAF appeals Governor to declare Oct 26 as holiday | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 28: The J&K Citizen Advisory Forum (JKCAF) has urged Governor Satya Pal Malik to honour the emotions and aspirations of J&K citizens and declare 26th October a state holiday.
They have also demanded that official functions be held in all districts to celebrate 26th October the day when the Maharaja Hari Singh acceeded to union of India without any preconditions and called it an irrevocable ànd permanent settlement as full and final.
The Government of India has also time and again in an unambiguous terms has asked Pakistan and in UN also that the instrument of accession signed by then Maharaja Hari Singh of j&k state is a closed chapter and on many occasions Indian Government has warned Pakistan to desist from waging Proxy war
