Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 27: Khalsa Cricket Club registered victory over Media-XI Cricket Club Jammu by 7 wickets in opening match of Sikh Premier League organized by Khalsa Cricket Club Jammu at Baba Jhule Shah Ground, Talab Tillo, Jammu, here today. Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Media-XI led by skipper Rahul Khatri scored 151 runs with the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Amit Kumar was the top scorer with 73 runs in 48 balls, followed by Sunil Bali who scored 16 runs off 22 balls and Nitin Kanotra who scored 15 runs in 19 balls. For KCC, Surinder Singh (lovlu), Prithpal Singh, Gurpreet Singh and Harinderpal Singh (Bawa), took two wickets each. Chasing the target, KCC led by skipper Surinder Singh (lovlu) scored 152 runs in 15 overs and won the match by a 7 wickets. Harinderpal Singh (Bawa) was the highest scorer with 62 runs in 37 balls. Surinder Singh (lovlu) scored 27 runs in 19 balls and Kawalpreet scored 15 runs in 9 balls. Harinderpal Singh (Bawa) was declared as man of the match for his splendid batting performance. At the end of the match, prizes were distributed among players by Gurdeep Singh Bakshi, General Secretary J&K State Hockey Association, who was also the chief guest on the occasion. |
