Imran's Heart beats for Kashmiris | | Omkar Dattatray | 10/27/2018 10:27:32 PM |
| People of India expected some change in the Pakistan's policy towards India after taking mantle of Pakistan Premiership by cricketer turned politician of Tehrik-e-Insaaf party of Pakistan in the recent so called democratic transition through the pak elections, but nothing of the sort happened. There has been no change in the Pak policy so far as Pak support and involvement in terrorism is concerned. Pak continues to sponsor cross border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Democratic or military rule Pak continues to send armed terrorists to disrupt peace and tranquility in Kashmir. Just after assuming power in Pakistan, Imran khan has said that Kashmir is the core issue as far as Pakistan is concerned. Imran is adhering and following the old and beaten track and is working as per the dicktats of Pak military apparatus. So Pak Prime minister seems to be remote controlled and the real power in spite of farce democracy lies with the army and army does not want cordial relation with India and likes to further terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. Political Pundits opine that the very existence of Pakistan is associated and based upon Kashmir narrative and therefore, Imran Khan, can handling distance himself from beating the old track and he cannot take a plunge into normalizing sordid relations with India. Pak Prime minister is only giving statements of dialogue offer with India just to hoodwink India and global community and in his heart of hearts; he is working on the old policy of bleeding India through thousand cuts to revenge India for division of Pakistan and creation of Bangladesh. Just a few days ago Pak Prime minister has said that Pakistan is concerned with the Kashmiri people and he is pained on the so called atrocities meted out to the Kashmiris. He has said it in connection with the civilian killings in Kulgam Kashmir. Civilian killings are condemned by all right thinking people and the home minister of India. But it is our internal matter and Pakistan should desist from meddling into our internal affairs is the refrain of the foreign ministry of India and it is cent percent true. Imran's heart beats for the kashmiris while as Pak established has no sympathy for Pak occupied oppressed citizens who are called Mohajirs even after seventy years of Pakistan's creation on the basis of the two nation theory. The Pakistan government is indulging in worst kind of human right violations on Blouch people in Blouchistan and now they are struggling for freedom from Pakistan. Imran's heart does not beat for Mohajirs and Bulochis but Pak PM is concerned about people of Indian Kashmir. It is a contradiction and doublespeak. But the fact of the matter is that Pakistan has no real sympathy with the kashmiris but they eye on the land of kashmir and have love for the land of Kashmiri and this is Pak's expansionist design. If Pak has real sympathy with the people of Kashmir they should take earnest and honest steps to halt cross border terrorism and shun the policy of sponsoring and exporting terror to J&K. But this they hardly do but instead glorify and eulogies the Kashmiri terrorists and call them freedom fighters which actually they are not but are only terrorists pure and undiluted. Imran khan works on the policy of his predecessors and does not depart from the path of violence and terrorism as their state policy. Thus on one hand they talk about talks and peace and on the other hand and at the same time indulge in worst kind of ceasefire violations and killing of our peaceful Petrol parties in ambush. It exposes Pak dual and deceitful face and their rhetoric of talks. Imran is dancing to the tune of his military Acquas 'masters' and is repeating the old and beaten track of so called self determination of kashmiris. It is very unfortunate that Pak PM has called for the implementation of the Security Council resolutions of 1948 to decide the fate of kashmir. Imran khan has said that the issue of Kashmir should be settled as per the wishes and aspiration of Kashmiris. He has no locus standi on Kashmir and should instead concentrate on the issues of his own people as per Indian stand. UN security council resolutions of 1948 are redundant, outdated and impractical after seventy years of their formulation. Even the former secretary general of UN, Cofi-Anan has called the 1948 S.C resolution as redundant and impractical. Much water has grown down the rivers of Jehlum and Tawi since 1948 and thus the self determination resolution of UN is invalid today. Moreover the people of Kashmir has exercised their choice and will though franchise a number of times and have formed their governments through free and fair elections. Thus have they affixed their seal of willingness to align with secular India and have rejected two nation doctrines? Besides, the first Prime minister of India J.L Nehru's commitment to kashmiri people that they can exercise their free will when the situation become conducive has been fulfilled by exercising choice in the election process umpteen time in the past about seventy years. Thus there are no takers for the redundant UN Security Council resolutions and the Pak PM should desist from issuing such statements which amount to meddling into Indian internal affairs and these statements will further bitter the already strained relations between the two neighboring countries. Therefore instead of raking Kashmir issue time and again, Pakistan should earnestly and honestly engage into bilateral dialogue with India and shun its state policy of sponsoring terrorism into India. On assuming power Imran has said that he will take two steps towards normalizing relations with India, if India talks on step and wanted talks to begin but now he opined that he will talk to India after the general elections of 2019 as according to him Kashmir will be a main issue on 2019 elections. What a contradiction in terms? In brief Pak PM should not follow the dicktats of his military establishment but work according to his free will and vision but this is a real possibility given the past record of Pakistan.
