Early Times Report

JAMMU, Nov 8: BJP is furious over mis-using of official stage by some elements to use derogatory remarks against Governor Satya Pal Malik. In a function which was organized by Cultural Academy in the auditorium owned by the Government, derogatory and unparliamentarily language was allegedly used against Governor Malik and newly elected Mayor of Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
According to a Kashmir based news agency, BJP spokesman Altaf Thakur has lashed out at the Cultural Academy and the Gayoor Foundation for inviting speakers at a function aimed at paying tributes to famous poet Ghulam Rasool Gayoor who spitted venom.
Agency quoting Thakur said speakers should tender a public apology for using the derogatory remarks against the Governor Satya Pal Malik and the newly elected Mayor Junaid Mattu for using derogatory language.
"The way auditorium, which is part and parcel of JK Government, was used to make offensive comments against the Governor Satya Pal Malik who is presently heading the State and the new Mayor of Srinagar, Junaid Matu, were totally unacceptable to the BJP", agency quoting Thakur said.
Thakur said that with the footage of the function as a major proof and he said that a particular religion was targeted. Similarly, Thakur said that using a government stage, one of the speakers, also spewed venom.
The BJP state spokesman urged Governor Malik to seek entire footage of the function and to go through the speeches made by some speakers and take serious action against the duo for triggering communal frenzy not only in the state but in entire country.
