PDP again behaves as proverbial Ostrich!
Mehbooba accuses Guv admin of incompetence
11/9/2018 10:38:46 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 9: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seems to have forgotten the incompetent regime it headed in the state, as it is firing salvos against the Governor's administration.
It was none other than the PDP chief and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who issued a statement on Friday in which she accused the Governor's administration of being incompetent and functioning without any accountability.
Chairing a meeting of the office bearers of Dooru and Tangmarg Assembly constituencies in Srinagar, Mehbooba asked her party workers to reach out to people and help them in the redressal of their grievances. She regretted that virtually there seems to be an administrative onslaught on people with no accountability being fixed anywhere in the official system.
"The recent snowfall in the Valley is a case example. With few inches of snow entire administrative machinery evaporated from the scene as if there were no advance arrangements made. People suffered immensely, particularly the horticulture", she said while asking her workers to come to the rescue of common masses and help them in coming out of these tough times. She sought an adequate package for the horticulturists whose orchards got damaged by the recent snowfall.
What the PDP seems to have forgotten that ever since the Governor's rule was imposed in Jammu and Kashmir, people across the state heaving a sigh of relief as they got freedom from moving one officer and another with their pleas.
The fact is that the Governor administration has taught the popular regimes of the state a lesson about how the administration should be made functional.
From inclusion of SSA teachers under the ambit of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations to ensuring transparent mechanism in government recruitments, the Governor administration has succeeded in every way by virtue of which a common man feels euphoric.
What is meanwhile more ironic is the fact that the PDP is behaving like a proverbial ostrich and is making manoeuvres to capture peoples' minds and divert their attention from the real issues and corruption that was unleashed upon the state when it was in power.
It is also being stated that on the directions of Governor, all the four Advisors to the Governor have been regularly meeting and hearing the grievances of delegations/deputations and individuals as per the notified schedule. All the grievances received by the Advisors have been dealt with/forwarded to the concerned Field Officers/Departments for their immediate redressal/disposal.
Besides, the Advisors have been asked by the Governor to take stock of the grievances pertaining to their respective departments, on regular basis and also to review the disposal of the grievances/complaints from the Nodal Officers of each department.
