| Two get life imprisonment in murder case | | |

JAMMU, Nov 12: Principal Sessions Judge Reasi S R Gandhi today awarded life-imprisonment to Karnail Singh S/o Kamal Singh and Kaka Ram S/o Mohan Singh Caste Thakur both residents of Mallikote Morha Chungra Tehsil Mahore District Reasi who were facing trial in murder of Mani Ram due to old enmity.
Principal Sessions Judge Reasi S R Gandhi after heari Public Prosecutor Rashi Barru for the State whereas Sr. AAG MA Goni for the accused persons observed that each of the convict shall undergo imprisonment for life for the commission of offence under Section 302 of the RPC and a fine of Rs.10,000/-. For the offence under section 452 RPC each of the convict shall undergo imprisonment for one year and a fine of Rs.1000/-. For the offence under Section 4/25 Arms Act Convict Kaka Ram shall undergo imprisonment for three years and a fine of Rs.1000/-. In default of payment of fine each of the convict shall suffer further undergo imprisonment for 6 months. All the sentences shall run concurrently. |
