Early Times Report

JAMMU, Nov 13: The Head of Nephrology Department at Super Specialty Hospital Jammu is likely to attain age of superannuation from service this month (November) and the situation is expected to badly effect the functioning of this important department in GMC&H as he is the only Nephrologist in the department and his absence may seriously affect patient care.
Senior doctor, Dr SK Bali, who is heading and running the Nephrology Department alone with the help of junior doctors since the inception of the Super Specialty Hospital Jammu, is going to retire from the service by end of this month and the patients suffering from ailments related to kidneys who need dialysis on daily basis are likely to face serious hardships.
Sources divulge that the concerned authority doesn't have any proposal of re-appointment of Dr SK Bali under SRO 384 for the sake of ailing patients who urgently need his services.
However, Principal Secretary H&ME Atul Dulloo when contacted said that matter was under consideration and Dr SK Bali would be re-appoint under SRO 384.
