Annoyed over illicit relation of daughter man murders youth
SIT works out blind murder case

Samba, Nov 14: Annoyed over the illicit relation of his daughter with a youth, father of the girl allegedly murdered the youth and later with the intention to destroy crucial evidence the accused and his family members disposed off the body of deceased and his belongings using their own Maruti Omni Van at Samba area. However, Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by SSP Samba cracked the blind murder case.
Police spokesman said that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the supervision of Faisal Qureshi-Additional SP Samba worked out a sensational blind murder case and arrested the accused person.
Spokesman further said that on October 11, 2018 at about 0700 hours, information was received through reliable sources at Samba that one unidentified male body whose face was wrapped in a polythene bag was lying at Talot Yard road side at Samba-Sumb Link Road.
Following this a case under FIR No. 268/2018 under section 302 of RPC was registered at police station Samba. Spokesman said that on 13th of November of 2018 one Ranjit Singh of Babliana Tehsil and District Jammu along with other family members came at Samba police station and they identified the deceased as Dalbir Singh alias Sunny of Babliana Tehsil and District Jammu.
"During the course of investigation, SIT with the help of technical assistance came to know that the location of the deceased Dalbir Singh alias Sunny was last found in the house of one person namely Ajay Kumar Gupta of Gangyal, Jammu when his mobile phone was switched off which raised the suspicion on Ajay Kumar Gupta", said spokesman.
He further said that accordingly the suspect was rounded up by SIT and interrogated who during sustained interrogation confessed his crime and stated that illicit relation of the deceased with the daughter of accused was main cause of murder.
In order to get rid off him, on 10.10.2018, Ajay Kumar Gupta and his family members with the intention to murder Dalbir Singh called him at their home at Gangyal Jammu and attacked him with iron rod and Wooden Mortor (Kundadanda) and inflicted fatal injuries on head of Dalbir Singh due to which he fell unconscious. "Then they inflicted multiple stab wounds on neck of deceased Dalbir Singh with a scissor to stop his breathing to ascertain the death of Dalbir Singh", said spokesman. With the intention to destroy crucial evidence the accused person and his family members disposed off the dead body of deceased Sunny and his belongings using their own Maruti Omni Van.
Spokesman said that further investigation into the matter is going on.
