Prize distribution function for Jammu District Athletics Championship held

JAMMU, Nov 14: The prize distribution function of Jammu District Athletics Championship which was organized by Jammu District Athletics Association under the aegis of J&K Amateur Athletics Association at Armed Police Complex Channi Himmat Jammu was held here today. Harbhajan Singh, President J&K Weightlifting Association was the chief guest and Rajan Sharma, General Secretary J&K Boxing Association was guest of honour on the occasion. They distributed medals and certificates among the winners in presence of Sarwant Singh Gill, General Secretary J&K Cycling Association, Yudhvir Singh, General Secretary J&K Weightlifting Association and Sharat Chander Singh, General Secretary, J&K Amateur Athletics Association.
The medal winners in Under-14 category were Sulakshya Singh, Long Jump - 1st, Kartik Sangral Shotput - 1st , Simranjot Kour, 100 Mtr -1st, Chetana Kumari, 100 Mtr -2nd & 600 Mtr 1st, Simran Verma 100 Mtr & 600 Mtr- 3rd while in Under-16 Category, Shivang Salgotra 100 Mtr. -1st & 200 Mtr - 3rd, Rishipal Singh 100 Mtr -2nd & 200 Mtr - 2nd, Prabhjot Singh 400 Mtr - 1st, Ankit Kumar 100 Mtr - 3rd, Kashish Khajuria Long Jump-1st & 200 Mtr. 1st, Harshvardhan Discus Throw - 1st & Long Jump - 2nd, Rajat Sudan -Shotput- 1st, Paras Khajuria Discus Throw -1st & Shotput-2nd won the medals.
In Under-18 Category, Abhay Singh Discus Throw - 1st, Shali Devi 100 Mtr -2nd & 200 Mtr - 2nd, Shikha Sharma 100 Mtr - 1st & 200 Mtr 1st, Muskan Rajput Shotput - 1st & 400 Mtr - 1st, Amit Angural 200 Mtr.- 3rd, Abrar Choudhary 400 Mtr - 1st, Gopal Krishan Shotput- 1st & 100 Mtr 3rd, Ajay Kumar 200 Mtr - 1st & 1500 Mtr -1st, Atul Khajuria 200 Mtr & 400 Mtr - 2nd, Vishal Chib 800 Mtr - 1st, Harjinder Singh 100 Mtr. 1st & Long Jump 3rd, Sourav Khajuria 100 Mtr 2nd & Long Jump 1st and Shahid Choudhary Long Jump & 800 Mtr.- 2nd.
