Jammu, Nov 14: All India Student's Federation (AISF) district council Jammu staged a protest against college administration of NGM college, Mira Sahib.
The protest was led under the leadership of district joint secretary of AISF Com. Verinder Singh in which whole college students took part.
The protesters said that the college runs under the scheme DDUGKY (Deen Dayal Upadhaya Grameen Koshaliya Yojana) which provide 6 months training to rural youth and then placed them in any industrial sector. "Whole training expenditure either it was books, meal, hostels everything funded by central govt but after lapse of three months and now only three months left few days ago and the college administration provided them books", they said.
They demanded issuance of ID cards, provide good meals. On the occasion Com. Verinder said, "Principle of the college has given assurance to us that they will fulfil our demands within days, and if they didn't full fill our demands AS given time, we'll walk outside the college till our demands didn't fill".
