PHQ issues circular on relieve of transferees
Action against non-compliance

Early Times Report
jammu, Nov 15: Dozens of police personnel who have been transferred but are yet to get relieved from their existing posts will now have to move on to join their new places of postings.
A circular in this regard was issued by the Police Headquarters (PHQ) wherein it had been instructed that all those who were transferred earlier had to be relieved by Thursday to join their new places of postings.
The circular which was sent across to the Inspectors General of Police (IsGP) of both Jammu as well as Srinagar zones, chiefs of every wing of the department and to each battalion clearly mentioned that if the transferees are not relieved by Thursday then the PHQ would initiate stringent steps against the violators.
Sources informed Early Times that the police department off and on transfers its staff, however, the transferees stall their transfers after securing some recommendations due to which they also manage to get their relieving orders pending.
"The transferees with the help of district police chiefs stay put at their old postings thereby not getting relieved from there. This is sheer non-compliance of orders issued by the PHQ," said sources.
Sources further said that gauging the amount of non-adherence of its transfer orders, the PHQ has now come up with the idea of issuing a circular, which was also sent down to top hierarchy of the department.
"The senior officers have been directed to scrutinize the record of the staff deputed under their command and take necessary action as required," said sources.
