Early Times Report
jammu, Nov 15: In what could be termed as mismanagement in the Small Scale Industries Corporation Limited (SICOP), two IID project managers posted at periphery districts but both of them have established their offices in Jammu.
Moreover both of them are fleecing the corporation by charging 20 percent Travel Allowances and Dearness allowances (TA&DA) of the capital city rather than the place they are posted.
Sources informed Early Times that of the two IID Project Manager, one was posted at IID Centre Udhampur and another at IID Centre Govindsar of Kathua district. "But ironically both of them never established their centre in the respective IID centres despite availability of sufficient space in the newly established centres.
Pertinently as per the set guidelines, the project managers should establish their office within centres but these two influential IID project managers who have close proximity with the higher rung officials having established their offices in the premises of Jawahar Lal Nehru Udyog Bhawan , Railhead Complex Jammu.
"However, in both the districts, there are well established office buildings of these IID centres- one in Govindsar and other at Udhampur, but they never used by the IID project managers", said sources.
Sources further alleged that the purpose of SICOP to established IID centres in respective districts has been defeated in each and passing day as the corporation has claimed that we are committed to provides all facilities to small entrepreneurs under one roof, but when the project managers are not sitting in the respective IID centres while they have chosen the office place nearly 90 Km away from the established centres. "They have devised a new type of modus operandi for fleecing the more TA&DA of capital city", sources alleged.
