Kathua, Nov 16: Organized by the District Administration Kathua in collaboration with Department of Youth Services and Sports the block level tournament of Block Hiranagar under Central Sponsored Scheme Sports for Peace and Development a vertical to Khelo India witnessed the competitions of Wrestling, athletics for under 17, 19 and above 19 years boys here at sports Stadium Hiranagar on 4th consecutive day. Today's events were declared open by Tehsildar Hiranagar Sh. Avtar Singh in the presence of ZPEOs Yog Raj Kumar, Ganesh Dass and Kailash Chander in which a total of 164 athletes participated. In under 17 years boys CE Manik Singh of Shastri memorial Higher Secondary School Haripur, Rishu Sharma of village mandial, Satveer Singh of High School Chadwal, Abhishek Mathur of Higher Secondary School Chakra, Arun Singh and Raj Yadhav of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Hiranagar, Sumit Kumar of Shaktipunj Hiranagar, Gurvinder Singh of Infant Jesus Higher Secondary School Hiranagar, Dushyant Sharma of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Hiranagar secured first position in 100m, 200m, 400m, 600m, and 1500 M races and long jump, high jumpz shot put and discus throw respectively. Under 19 years boys, Deishive Singh of GHSS Kootah, Girish Sumbriya of CMP Dyalachak, Ganpati Sharma of Village Mandial, Pargya Sharma of Hiranagar,Jasbeer Kumar of Gopale Chack, Anirudh Sharma of Sallan, Pankaj Sharma of Chakra, Abhishek Sharma of Gurah Mundiyan, Harish Sharma of GHSS Chakra, Sachin Sharma of GHSS Sallan excelled in 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 5000 meter races and High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put, Discuss Throw respectively.
