| ICccR & HRM organize session on "Career Development and Future Workplaces" | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 16: International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu, Jammu today organized an interaction on "Career Development and Future Workplaces" for the students of MBA (International Business). The interaction was organized under the "Corporate-Academia Interactions", wherein the underlying objective of the interaction was to acquaint students with the emerging trends in labour market and resultant career choices and paths to be developed upon for managing their careers. The interaction elaborated upon career development as the series of activities or the on-going/lifelong process of developing one's career wherein managing one's career in an intra-organizational or inter-organizational scenario is critical for career success. The session highlighted career development as a determinant of the efficacy of organizational goal achievement and individual career realization. The resource persons for the session were Raman Kalotra, Deputy General Manager (Human Resources), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Gaurav Kohli, Junior Manager, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd and Pradeep, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. Speaking on the occasion, Raman Kalotra, Deputy General Manager (Human Resources) highlighted the importance of career management and stressed upon the need for placing careers in industries that are employee centric and enable professionals to develop competencies for future career advancements. |
