Early Times Report
srinagar, Nov 16: A video showing Hizbul Mujahideen militants shooting dead a youth in south Kashmir's Pulwama has appeared on social media.
In the video, the militants are seen firing indiscriminately at the 18-year-old youth who has been identified as Nadeem Manzoor Dar of Safanagri village of Shopian.
Nadeem was abducted by gunmen from his home. His body was later found at Niklora village in neighbouring Pulwama district. Nadeem was a Class 11 student of Government Higher Secondary School, Zainapora, Shopian.
An FIR has been registered, the police said.
On Thursday evening, security forces cordoned off the area and launched search operations to trace the militants who killed Nadeem but did not arrest anyone.
Meanwhile, a number of people attended the funeral of Nadeem in Shopian and condemned his killing.
The Hizbul Mujahideen outfit has reportedly released the video showing its cadre killing the youth, apparently to instil fear among the people.
The militant group also released another video in which its commander Reyaz Naikoo has taken responsibility for the youth's killing.
"For money, he (Nadeem) worked for army as an informer, and he met his fate. I am warning all those who are working as informers to desist from informing security forces, otherwise they will meet the same fate," warned Naikoo.
