Massive 76.99% polling witness in 5 blocks of District Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Nov 17: After successful completion of MC election at Kishtwar, today , Panchayat elections under Phase -I were conducted in 05 blocks under first phase viz. Marwah , Warwan , Dacchan, Bounjwah and Padder with polling percentage of 76.99%.
29245 electrol cast their votes including 15025 Male and 14220 female .
As per the details available with Early Times, to strengthen the grass root democracy in villages at lowest levels enthusiastic response shown by people was witnessed today during the Panchayat election.
An aggregate of 76.99% electors exercised their franchise, 61.40% Polling in Marwah, 78.81% in Warwan, 66.90% in Dachhan 79.33% in Paddar ,86.69% in Bunjwah Block of District Kishtwar
In Marwah Block there are 2210 electors wherein 1357 cast their votes including 678 male and 679 female.
In Warwan Block there are 1473 electors wherein 1161 cast their votes including 625 Male and 536 Female electors.
In Dachhan Block there are 9793 electors wherein 6552 cast their votes including 3257 Male and 3295 Female.
In Paddar there are 14556 electors wherein 11548 including 6049 Male and 5499 Female electors.
In Bunjwah there are 9951 electors wherein 8627 cast their vote including 4416 Male and 4211 Female.
Special observers to keep an eye for Poll and counting process besides amid all high time security arrangements were made during the said process.
Later, counting of the first phase for five blocks of Panchayat Election 2018 in District Kishtwar started and final results for the same is still awaited.
