Physically challenged , widows rue official apathy

Poonch, Nov 18: Physically challenged and widows of district have alleged that concerned departments have failed to spread awareness about the centrally sponsored schemes as a result of which they get no benefit out of them , sources said here today
They said we remain unaware about the benefits of these schemes being launched by the government of India for their betterment but due to lack of awareness they do not get due benefits for the betterment of their lives thus their miseries continue to loom large on their wads they addec
We have been running from pillar to post in different departments for pensionary benefits said a physically challenged Hukum Din who was also short of eye sight. He while talking to Early Times said that his sons beg to feed him because we do not know about the schemes launched by GOI for our selves he added
Another physically challenged Javed Iqbal who also happens to be the president of district disabled union urged the district authorities for organizing awareness camps all over the district on large scale to communicate the physically disabled and widows of the district about the benefits and process of attaining the benefits of these schemes. He said various department sleep over the issue and hardly make any effort to serve the physically challenged and widows of the district.
