Jammu, Nov 18: National SC,ST,OBC Student & Youth Front (NSOSYF) in collaboration with the State Unit of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations organised a one day "Adhikar Bachao Sammelan" on 18-11-2018 at Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Narwal Byepass, Jammu to save the constitutional rights of students and youth. The Students and youth from all over the state belonging to SC/ST/OBC communities participated in huge numbers.
This was the first ever Sammelan to discuss the problems being faced by Youth and Students in threadbare. The problems being faced by unskilled and skilled labour youth were also highlighted. The constitutional rights which are being denied to these students and the youth were also discussed in this sammelan.
State President of the Confederation R.K. Kalsotra in his address appreciated the efforts of the Co-ordinators of NSOSYF in organising such a grand Sammelan and stated that the problems of the students and youth will be highlighted before the Government and urged upon them to be united to fight for saving their constitutional rights. Kalsotra further added that the Confederation is a frontier organisation which is fighting in the state as well at national level for the protection of constitutional rights and it is due to the untiring efforts of the confederation that many of the suggestions of the confederation have been accepted by various state and central governments consequent upon which many amendments have been made by the State as well as Central Governments.
Kalsotra reiterated that the there can be no "Rashtra Vikas" without the "Dalit Vikas". Kalsotra questioned that how the Dalit youth and student can progress if the opportunities are not made available to them?
He assured all that the Confederation will leave no stone unturned to highlight the issues of Dalit youth and students and will keep on fighting till the desired results are not achieved. He informed the proposed National Rally for Protection of Rights on 3rd December to be held at New Delhi under the chairmanship of Dr. Udit Raj, National President All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations.
Ashok Attri Retd.DIG, Sarwar Chauhan Retd. SSP, Ch. Mohd. Shafi, Saif Ali and B.L. Bhardwaj, General Secretary Confederation also graced the occasion and encouraged the students and the youth. They congratulated NSOSYF and Confederation for organising such a grand Sammelan and told them to take the program to Tehsil and Block level also. They assured that the veteran intellectuals of the society will fully support the mission of NSOSYF and Confederation.
Vikas Chowhan Co-ordinator Delhi NSOSYF also accompanied him and addressed the gathering. The State Co-ordinators of NSOSYF viz. Maheep Bhardwaj, Ajay Bhagat, Dushant Lakhnotra, Susheel Kumar, Touqir Ali Watal, Vaneet Panjgotra, Rajni Bhandari, Sunil Dogra, Shafait Ch, Sumit Kumar Sayal, Gaftar Chowdhary, Roshan Chowdhary and Gagandeep SIngh also expressed their views on the occasion.
