CB arrests renowned businessmen brothers of Jammu for cheating

Jammu, Nov 19: Two renowned businessmen of the state have been arrested by the Crime Branch Jammu for duping another businessman of Rs 13 Crore by selling him land at Kunjwani area which was already mortgaged.
Shailander Ghulati and Sandeep Ghulati (brothers), owners of National Garage Motors were arrested by Crime Branch after lodging a case against them under FIR Number 36/2018 under sections 420, 120B of RPC.
Sources said that the Ghulati brothers had duped the complainant who is businessman of Gandhi Nagar by selling him already mortgaged piece of prime land at Kunjwani..
Sources further said that the deal was struck in the year 2015 and Rs 26 crore was fixed for 26 kanals of land at Kunjwani, while Rs 13 Crore was received by the complainants from the victim businessman namely Navneet Mahajan in advance.
Official sources said that the victim businessman received a shock after he learnt that the piece of land he was buying from Ghulatis was already mortgaged with the Syndicate Bank.
Sources further said that the victim approached the bank from where he came to know that Ghulati brothers had taken a loan of Rs 26 Crore against the land at Kunjwani and failed to repay it.
Realising that he was duped, the victim businessman approached the Gulati brothers and demanded his money back but they didn't entertain him.
Later, the victim lodged a complaint against them with the Crime Branch Jammu and during investigation it was found that the duo brothers had duped Rs 13 Crore from the complainant.
