| JKEEGA delegation calls on Advisor Kewal Kumar Sharma | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 20: A deputation of J&K Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) led by it's State President Er. Harvrinder Singh and General Secretary Er. Pirzada Hidayatullah met Kewal Kumar Sharma, Advisor to Governor at his office chamber at Jammu on 20-11-2018 to welcome him as the Advisor of PDD and projected various issues of the Graduate Engineers of PDD.
The Advisor was apprised that though engineers in all the wings are working on the post of Development Commissioner Power, Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers and Assistant Executive Engineers but are superannuating in the grade of either Junior Engineer, Assistant Engineer or at the most Assistant Executive Engineer because their services are not regularized. In the absence of regularization on the post every officer is working either on in- charge, stopgap or adhoc. The regularization of engineers to the post where they are putting in their services shall be done on priority so that their pension benefits are not culminated and they be free from the taboo of adhocism.
The file for promotion of the Assistant Executive Engineer and Assistant Engineer was forwarded to the GAD six months back for their opinion but nothing decisive has been done till date and even the minutes of meeting of the establishment cum selection committee are being held back even after two months for the reasons best known to the authorities.
The Advisor Kewal Kumar Sharma gave very patient hearing to all the projected problems and assured that the demands of the Graduate Engineers will be addressed at an earliest.
