Give GMC status of hospital, shift medical college to some other place: Neeraj Gupta

Jammu, Nov 28: Neeraj Gupta Zonal President JKNPP held a massive protest demonstration along with his supporters and party workers at Narwal and demanded the declaration of GMC as Jammu Hospital and shifting of Medical College.
He said that even after more than 70 years of independence the people of Jammu are deprived of the basic medical facilities. The students of medical college are deputed here to do practical studies. The people lose their precious lives due to lack of medical facilities and presence of senior doctors and surgeon. Moreover the space of the GMC and not enough to have the medical college and hospital in the same premises. Super Speciality hospital is also not functioning properly.
The Previous Govt. has also failed to do justice with the Jammu people. In the state of J&K the revenue receipt are higher from Jammu, but the Jammu people are deprived from the basic needs of life like medical facilities, smooth roads, shelter, education etc.
He also criticised the Govt. rule to impose the fee of Rs.5.00 as entry fee in the SMGS Hospital.
He demanded the withdrawal of the imposition of entry fee Rs.5.00. and also demanded that the Medical College should be shifted to some other place and the present college should be declared as the full fledged house. He was accompanied by Amar Chand, Parmanand, Surinder Singh, Devinder Singh, Ramesh Kumar Sonu and Kewel Krishan.
