11/28/2018 10:16:47 PM

Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 28: A video of a militant emerging from the rubble of a damaged house and escaping unhurt from the encounter site in central Kashmir district of Budagm -- where top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Naveed Jatt was among two ultras killed by security forces on Wednesday -- has gone viral on social networking sites.
In the video, which was shot after the operation was called off by security forces; a militant could be seen emerging from the rubble of the house in which the encounter took place. The people, mostly youth, who had gathered in the compound of the house, after the encounter, could be seen helping the armed militant to escape from the spot.
The video has gone viral on Facebook and other social networking sites. However, the authenticity of the video could not be confirmed.
Meanwhile, a police official said that they are verifying whether the video is from the encounter site or an old clipping. Jatt, who was involved in the assassination of senior journalist Shujaat Bukhari, was among two militants killed in an encounter with security forces at Chattergam in Budgam.
