DMTF conducts mock drill for Bhawan-Bhairon passenger ropeway

Katra, Nov 28: The Disaster Management Task Force of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board on Wednesday conducted rescue and evacuation drills, as part of the ongoing trials and testing of the Bhawan-Bhairon Passenger Ropeway systems.
According to press release, the drill was led by CEO, SMVDSB, Simrandeep Singh, in the presence of Assistant CEO, Manu Hansa, Director Security and Enforcement, Suresh Sharma, SDM, Bhawan, Naresh Kumar and SDPO Bhawan, S. P. Modi. A platoon of Sahayaks of the Shrine Board and a section of SDRF team from Reasi also participated in the rescue drill. It is pertinent to mention that Shrine Board is in advance stages of the final commissioning of its long awaited Passenger Ropeway project.
The trials and testing of the project formally started on 26th November, 2018 and are likely to finally conclude in first week of December, 2018. The Project will thereafter be put to use for the benefit of Yatris.
