JAMMU, Nov 28: Youth Hostel Association of India (YHAI) has re-elected its unit by appointing Mohammad Shafi Pandit as president and SP Verma as Chairman.
They were elected in the triennial election meeting, which was attended by the members of State Council representing all the three regions.
K. Subramanayam from Chhattisgarh was deputed as supervisor for the elections, while G.R Bhagat, IAS (Retd) former commissioner/Secretary was appointed as presiding officer for elections. Soba Ram (KAS rtd) and Shoukat Ashai were deputed as members of scrutiny committee along with Dr. Taran Singh State Secretary.
Mohd. Shafi Pandit congratulated the newly elected office bearers and said that the Youth Hostelling movement will achieve greater heights under the leadership of new office bearers.
