Sahai felicitates Commissioner State Taxes Deptt

JAMMU, Nov 29: Rahul Sahai, Chairman Sahai Group of Companies has felicitated Commissioner State Taxes Department, J&K Government, during a meeting here today. P K Bhat, Commissioner State Taxes was felicitated by Sahai, who was leading a delegation of prominent businessmen and traders of the state. Congratulating Bhat on assuming the office as Commissioner State Taxes, Sahai said that he is confident that under his dynamic and proactive leadership the Department will see a new horizon which promises of growth and overall development in J&K. On the occasion, the delegation interacted and apprised Bhat regarding various issues being faced like delay in the release of GST refund claim to eligible units as assured by the government, resulting in blockage of working capital of the units since over a year and half. Delegation also requested for registration of establishments under GST refund scheme who could not register them earlier, and are filling their returns timely and depositing taxes. Bhat assured that the disbursement of GST refund shall start immediately as it has been instructed to ETOs to verify the claims. Also he assured that he shall look into the matter of registration of units who could not register themselves earlier in GST refund scheme and are depositing their taxes and filling returns regularly. Delegation praised Bhat for his promptness in taking actions against defaulters and establishments for not filling GST returns. Bhat assured full cooperation and support and said that the department shall not harass and penalize any establishment without a valid reason. The other members who were part of the delegation included Mian Aleem Khan, prominent industrialist, Deepak Dhaftri, General Secretary Transport Welfare Association and Rakesh Dogra.
