Standing Committee holds meet, discusses recruitment rules of TA Deptt

JAMMU, Nov 30: Commissioner Secretary Administrative Reforms, Trainings and Inspections M K Dwivedi today chaired a Standing Committee meeting convened to discuss the Recruitment Rules of Tribal Affairs Department (Gazetted/ Non- Gazetted) Services.
Detailed deliberations were made with regard to eligibility/ qualification of the incumbents in the department with regard to their promotion/appointment and carrier progression in the department.
Both Gazetted and Non-Gazetted employees Recruitment Rules were discussed. It was given out that six districts with significant Tribal Population (Kargil, Leh, Rajouri, Reasi and Ganderbal Shall have District Tribal Officers, and other 16 other Districts in the State shall have Tribal Welfare Officers.
Other issues including strengthening the department were also discussed.
