Body of PoK resident handed over to PoK officials on LoC

Rajouri, Nov 30: On the request of M.A Asad, District Magistrate (DM) Rajouri his counterpart at Poonch made necessary arrangements in handing over the body of a PoK national who died due to sudden cardiac arrest at Rajouri town on Thursday.
The body was handed over to PoK officials including Tehsildar, SHO and doctor by Altaf Hussain , in-charge SHO Poonch in the presence of deceased's two brothers who also accompanied him to Rajouri at about 1 pm at Chakan-da-Bagh cross LoC point.
Maqsood Hussain s/o Mohd Munshi resident of Mirpur city had crossed the LoC crossing point on October 28 under permit No. P 56904 R to meet his divided family members /relatives at the house of Abbas Ali s/o Masab Ali r/o ward No.2 Rajouri town.
The deceased was accompanied by his two brothers namely Habib-ul-Rehaman (permit No. P 56903 R) and Matloob Hussain (permit No.P 56905 R) Sources said all the three were preparing to leave for PoK after the completion of authorised 28 days stay at Rajouri.
In the late evening hours on Thursday, Maqsood developed some health problems and was rushed to district hospital where he died at about 9 pm.
"Death certificate has been issued in favour of the deceased on the request of Abbas Ali and other family members who have earlier approached the District Magistrate for the same. The deceased died due to sudden cardiac arrest" said Dr Mehmood Bazar, Medical superintendent, DH.
