Panchayat election's polling parties dispatched in Samba

VIJAYPUR, Nov 30: 275 polling parties along with polling material were dispatched for phase VI of Panchayat elections in Vijaypur, Bari-Brahmana and Purmandal blocks of the district Samba.
District Election Officer Samba Sushma Chauhan personally visited each block offices of Purmandal, Bari-Brahmana and Vijaypur to oversee the entire dispatch process and also ensured that all the necessary arrangements are put in place for smooth conduct of these polls in a free and fair manner.
Meanwhile, a total of 149 Sarpanch and 649 Panchs are in fray in theses three community development blocks of Samba district whose fate would be decided by tomorrow evening. In a day long exercise, today, the polling parties were dispatched under supervision of Dr. Arun Manhas, Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba who informed that all the presiding officers along with their team of polling staff and security personals left Block office headquarter in vijaypur to their respective polling station in peaceful and phased manner.
Also to supervise the peaceful dispatching process at Purmandal and Bari-Brahmana Block, Vijay Kumar SDM Vijaypur and Pankaj Magotra Additional District Development Commissioner Samba were present at respective places.
