| SHO adjusts youth in construction firm in lieu of money | | Misuse of official position | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 5: An Inspector of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) posted as Station House Officer (SHO) of a police station in one of the districts of Doda-Kistwar-Ramban (DKR) Range has become talk of the town after he adjusted some local youths in a construction company as drivers after taking money from them.
According to sources, the Inspector of the senior most batch of the Executive Wing who has been posted as SHO in one of the hilly districts of the Range has misused his official position and forcefully adjusted some youths of the district as drivers in the company. In return, the SHO charged money from the poor youth.
"The SHO has misused his official position for his personal gains and adjusted some local youths of the area as drivers in a construction company in lieu of money", said sources adding that the SHO used to threaten the officials of the company on various pretexts.
If sources are to be believed, the company officials obliged the SHO to avert any controversy and adjusted some youths as drivers and later the officials of the construction company also came to know that the SHO charged money from the youths but they are tight-lipped as they do not want to spoil their relations with the SHO.
Sources further claimed that the SHO also used to oblige his friends through officials of the construction company by misusing his official position. |
