Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 5: In an incident of shame for the leadership of the national conference, women workers and supporters of the party who had come from far flung areas to pay tribute to NC founder had to sit on the floor due to lack of adequate seating arrangement at the venue. All the chairs in the hall were occupied by the men and some party workers during the function.
Women, along with their children were seen sitting on the floor in front of senior leaders of National Conference who had taken the stage. No one bothered even among the women leaders of the party to stand up and make some effort to provide seats to the women workers. "We had come here to pay rich tributes to our leader, but there is no proper seating arrangement for most us. Our children too had to sit on the floor. Moreover, not even water was served to us," said a woman wished not to be named.
