Guv rule is ours: BJP legislator

Early Times Report
ANANTNAG, Dec 5: BJP legislator from Kashmir, Sofi Yousuf, on Wednesday said the ongoing Governor's rule in Jammu and Kashmir was "actually BJP rule."
"Today we have government in the Centre. Here in the state we have Governor Raj that is also ours," Yousuf told a gathering at his residence in Anantnag.
"Tomorrow it will be again our government," he said while disclosing the names of Scheduled Tribe committee members.
Sofi Yousuf, who hails from Srigufwara village of Anantnag district, is a member of Legislative Council. He has contested many assembly and parliamentary elections unsuccessfully from Pahalgam and Anantnag constituencies respectively.
It's not for the first time that a BJP Leader has tried to imply that his party is indirectly ruling the state through Governor rule. Earlier BJP State Chief Ravinder Raina had claimed that Governor Satya Pal Malik "is our man" and tried to imply that Malik would be working at the behest of the party.
In a video that went viral on social media, Raina had boasted: "Naya Governor apna banda hai (the new Governor is our man)".
Due to such utterances of BJP leaders, the image of Governor Malik and his office received a dent as it is otherwise presumed that the Governor office is impartial and functions sans any prejudice or partiality for the people and for their welfare.
On June 20, Jammu and Kashmir came under Governor's rule after Peoples Democratic Party-BJP coalition government collapsed on June 19.
The Mehbooba Mufti-led government collapsed after the BJP pulled out of the coalition listing a range of reasons from upsurge in violence in the Valley to the state government "failing in its responsibilities".
