Panthers alone can give strong, credible leadership to Jammu: Harsh
12/12/2018 10:56:16 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 12: With TRS and MNF getting a massive mandate in Telangana and Mizoram Assembly polls, the people's faith in regional parties seemed to have strengthened across the country, said Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and former Minister.
Addressing media persons, Harsh said that people were increasingly identifying themselves with and reposing their confidence in their local parties in Assembly elections which alone could address the local sentiment and other issues in the right perspective.
Urging upon the people of the Jammu region to take a cue from the other states, he said that a regional party alone could fulfil the hopes and aspirations of their deprived and neglected region facing extreme bias and prejudicial treatment at the hands of state as well as central governments. "BJP and Congress are not the solutions to the woes of Jammu region. Their leadership is remote controlled from New Delhi who have their own priorities.
Jammu region with its two Parliamentary seats hardly has any significance for them in their game of power politics. And they betrayed Jammu each time they ascended the seat of power", said Singh. While Congress State chief is always from Kashmir, the BJP surrendered the Chief Minister chair to PDP for full term despite having equal number of MLAs. And when the attempts of re formation of government were being made after its dissolution in June 2018, the BJP with its 25 MLAs once again projected Sajjad Lone, having merely two MLAs from Kashmir, as the Chief Minister candidate. In doing so, the BJP not only indicated its impuissance and servile disposition but also admitted its bankruptcy and lack of leadership. It failed miserably not only addressing the issues of Jammu region but also in providing effective leadership to Jammu region, observed Singh.
"Give us a chance. We promise to give strong and credible leadership to Jammu. We have the will and capacity to take the anti-Jammu forces. We are confident that we shall overcome provided we get your support", said he while appealing the civil society, intellectuals, youth, employees, farmers, traders, etc. to strengthen Panthers Party in the overall interests of Jammu region. " J&K has only three regional parties which are recognised by the Election Commission of India (ECI). While NC and PDP are Kashmir centric, Panthers Party is the lone recognised political party of Jammu region which can ensure justice to its incarcerated and highly marginalized Dogra land".
Rajesh Padgotra Provincial President JKNPP and Surinder Chauhan District President (Jammu Rural) were also present in the press conference.
