Imran Khan meddling into internal affairs of Kashmir
12/23/2018 8:44:35 PM
Why should Pakistan involve itself by interfering into the
internal matters of Jammu and Kashmir which is part of India ?If there are cases of human rights violations or cases of excesses by he security forces in the Kashmir valley it is because of the advent of Pakistan sponsored militancy. And it does not befit Pak Prime Minister,Imran Khan,to touch the topic of killing of civilians at the sites of encounter between the militants and the security forces.Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed concern over recent spell of barbarism by Indian forces in Kashmir that killed over a dozen and injured many.In a telephonic conversation with the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, Prime Minister Imran Khan raised concerns over the ongoing atrocities and brutalities being perpetrated against the Kashmiris by Indian forces.India is involved in serious violations of human rights in Kashmir and UN should play its effective role for the solution of the decades long problem," he urged Guterres.
And Imran Khan has exposed his colours when he told the UN secretary General that the issue of the Kashmir dispute could be resolved through the will of the people of Kashmir and through UN resolutions which also gurantee right of self-determination for the people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir."Issue of Kashmir should be resolved according to the will of Kashmiris. They should be given their right of self-determination," the PM said during telephonic talk with UN chief.
The Senate of Pakistan and National Assembly had already passed unanimously resolutions, strongly condemning the recent barbarism by the Indian forces in Kashmir that claimed lives of a number of innocent Kashmiris in Pulwama.
And any Pakistani leader, including Imran Khan, should realize that if the Incidents of violence take place in Kashmir it is the result of Pakistan sponsored insurgency.Prior to the rise of Pakistan sponsored militancy one would feel free to roam in Kashmir even during the nights.
Kahsmir was the only place known for communal amity. But the incidents of violence that force 3.50 lakh Pandits to flee their hearth and homes in pursuit of safety and dignity. It was a volcano exported by Pakistan when even the muslims were not safe. And during the last 29 years the drama of death continues in Kashmir.
A new trend supported by agencies across the LOC has taken birth.Under the tgrend large crowds surface at the encounter sites and at the burial ground where militants bodies are to be buried.People get enraged whenever militants get killed and they invariably clash with the security forces. And when the security forces feel that their lives are in danger they open fire in which many civilians get killed and others are injured.Whay should crowds appear on the encounter sites? Either their job is to divert the attention of the security forces or get killed so that issues like barbaric attitude of Indian security forces or human rights violations are raised. These issues are raised on the international for a giving the Kashmir issue a new lease of life.
