Jourian, Jan 17: Highlighting their long pending demands, employees of Municipal Committee (MC) Jourian, Khour and Akhnoor today held a protest demonstration in front of the office of MC Jourian and organized a rally at main bazar Jourian.
The protest demonstration was organized under the banner of Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh and during the protest, he protesters raised slogans against the J&K Government and district administration for not considering their long pending demands. Earlier, on 12th January 2019, all Muncipal Local Bodies safaikaramcharies went on indefinite strike as.
Listing their demands, Rasian Masse, President Safaikaramchaies Munici-pal Commitee Jourian said that their protest was against privatization of recruitment of Safai Karamcharis of Urban Local Bodies and for recruitment against pending post, regularization of the employees who have completed 7 plus year of job, clearance of pending arrears of Daily Wager Safai Karamcharis against the Govt order dated January 2018 on leave salary of 10 months, clearance of cases under SRO 43, etc.
He warned that the strike will continue till their demands are fulfilled. |
