District Level Mock Youth Parliament organized

Udhampur, Jan 17: The three day walk in screening for District Level Mock Youth Parliament organized by the designated institution, Govt. Degree College Udhampur started today and will conclude on 19th January, 2019. Principal of the College Prof(Dr).
Nutan Kumar Resutra stressed the youth to strengthen the roots of democracy, inculcate hearing habits of discipline, tolerance of the view of the others. Objective of conducting District Level Mock Youth Parliament is to familiarize students with parliamentarian functioning and language use in the legislature. A large number of candidates registered themselves for walk-in screening. Screening committee consists of two members, one being on Academician Dr. Udhey Bhanu also encouraged the students to participate more and more in such programmes, so as to build a stronger Nation. and an eminent person of Udhampur District Prof. Tara Nath was also present on the occasion who further stressed the students to show the seriousness in such activities. He made an emotional and social appeal to the Govt. in this regard. The whole event has been organized under the supervision of NSS Programme Officers, Dr. Anita Sharma and Prof. Samosh Kumar.
