Adbi Kunj holds literary meet

Jammu, Jan 18: On the eve of Lohri and Makkar Sakranti festival, Adbi Kunj organized a multifaceted literary meet, here today. The meet was presided over by renowned poet from Srinagar (Kashmir) Bashir- Ul- Haq whereas another renowned poet Girdhari Lal Rahi was the special guest of the meet. A young poet Jatinder Kumar Bassan conducted the proceedings of the meet. On the occasion, Adbi Kunj greets people on the Lohri and Makkar-Sankranti festival. Aarash Dalmotra Chairman of the organization and Sham Talib President said that Makkar Sankrati is basically a celebration of Sun's move into the 10th house of the zodiac Capricorn or Makhara which is treated as auspicious from this day onwards and celestial transition results in longer and warmer days. A composite poetical round up was also held in which poets recited their different kalams. The poets who participated in the meet includes Aarash Dalmotra, Jatinder Bassan, Sarwar Chohan, Bashir-Ul-Haq, Girdhari Lal Rahi, Sushil Tickoo (New Comer) Sanjeev Kumar, Raj Kamal, Rajeev Kumar, Bishan Dass Khak with Mohamad Baqar Saba from Kargil and Sham Talib. In the last, Adbi Kunj also remembers its founder activists on their death anniversaries Com. Jaswant Singh Chief organizer and Com. Muni Lal Puri Vice Chairman of the organization. The meet was come to end with the vote of thanks by Aarash Dalmotra, Chairman of Adbi Kunj Jammu.
