| Unemployed engineers’ up in arms against cancellation of NIT | | |

Kishtwar, Jan 29: A group of All Self Help Group engineers of Kishtwar district today held a strong protest against PWD (R&B) department Kishtwar.
The protest was held in response to cancelation of one of work published in NIT No.42 of 2018-19 dated 17-01-2019 without any specific reason.
All group members while resenting their greviences said that there are certain serious issues faced by them such as giving a share in all centrally sponsored schemes ,pending liabilites of self help group and providing equal 30 percent share to SHGs. Moreover the said department have given only 6 percent share to self help groups instead of 30 percent.
They said the department has alloted only works in district and state sector where funds are not available which in turns create crores of liablties of SHGs. Some of the department like RDD, Police construction department, police housing board, CVPP have failed to give a single work to SHGs.
All SHGs are requesting the government to fulfill their genuine demand as per the guidelines in cabinet decision and Govt. order no. 14 L&E of 2018 dated 20-02-2017 and govt order no.49 L&E of 2018 dated 06-06-2018. |
